As of 10/24/25 the Alpine Loop CLOSED for the season.
It is important to check the status before traveling, as closures may occur due to traffic impediments or natural events such as rockfalls, mudslides, or floods. Travelers should use caution in the early season due to cold weather and precipitation in the high country that could cause ice, snow, and mud.
Maps of the Alpine Loop
Many physical and digital map resources are available for the Alpine Loop. Digital maps and apps must be downloaded in advance as cell service is only reliable in the towns off the loop.
